Philosophy
The Management, Faculty and students of Vivekanand College of nursing believes that Nursing is a divine profession in which the students are prepared to dedicate themselves and equip with the necessary knowledge, skill competencies and standards in identifying the health needs of the people, planning and providing quality care to the individuals, family or community. Nursing education is built in an integrated study of Natural sciences, social sciences and humanities in order to promote critical thinking, caring, respect and concern for individual families, communities and society.
Nursing education prepares graduates to practice within the established professional guidelines and standards and to engage in continuous role development and revision of knowledge.
Promoting the Nursing education and practice improves the health of individual families, communities and population within the nation and the world. Faculty has the key role to teach the students motivate them and create a conductive environment that enables the students to achieve their learning outcome. Faculty believes that learning occurs in a logical and sequential manner. They use a variety of instructional and evaluative methods to acquire the desired outcomes.
